Drone footage from the balearics

Drone footage from the balearics. Now I have put together a fourth part of the series of drone footage I am practicing editing on. I guess that’s what it is. A way for me to practice edited and making videos. I hope one day to be able to make some really impressive videos with stunning footage to music in this style and get lots of people to enjoy it. Again this is a short video with small cuts out of the footage I shot on Mallorca, Ibiza and Formentera earlier this year. The footage are from the same occasions as in the three earlier Balearics videos.

How I did it this time

This time I have tried a different method for the color grading the drone footage from the balearics. I am using the wheels in FCPX instead of just the flat color board. I am also trying to avoid having two much transitions. In part 2 I really fattened up with way too much different kinds of transition and way too bright and vivid color grading. And in part three I used a whole lot of zoom transitions as well as using music which I had mixed myself. It is all about experimenting for me, when learning. But This time I leaned more towards using softer color grading and fewer transitions. It is not much more then practice to be honest. I think I’ll do one more next week. The music I have used is also a mix. But it is a mix of the same track. Just to cut out the most boring parts and trying to get it a little more unpredictable. Anyways, here is the video.
