We all should try to exercise to keep our health and wellbeing. Particularly now a days when we all spend more and more time not moving our body (not least during a lock down). It is always a lot of things to do in front of a screen. Lots of work that requires your time and also lots of interesting entertainment and information you want to take part of.

When we were kids we got exercised by running around and playing. And even if not that. We would have sports lessons in school. At least one hour a week we had to play football etc. As grown-ups we have to take responsibility for that on our own. We have to exercise. And since I am only stationary at one location for a few month most of the time before I move on, it means that I most of the time not are engaged in any local sports club (have been temporary participating in a few martial arts clubs). I go to the gym to lift weights from time to time at most of the locations where I am staying for some extent of time, but these exercises are something I can do wherever I am.

We all know how difficult it is to keep the exercise routine when traveling. At least us who exercises. And us who travels. But does it really need to be that difficult. Does the training really need to be complicated. Should you need to be dependent on a gym, club or any gear in order to exercise. I reckon it is better to go for the simpler alternative of keeping fit. Particularly since it is the consistency which is important in the long run. It is better to do a little almost every day. Then to wait to get to a proper gym.

Of course I have different periods of time in my life when I am interested in different kind of excercises. If I am going to stay somewhere for a while it is definitely better for the gains to get a membership at a gym and go there as regular as possible. Do a 45-60 min session about 5 five times a week. Sometimes less and sometimes more. I could be writing quite a lot about exercising I realize now. About how to separate the muscle groups. When to exercise what. When to change the routine. What to eat, what supplements to use etc. But I wasn’t planning to go that deep into the topic of exercise in these blog posts. But I would like to casually touch with the topic at least, since it is one of the ways I spend my time. In the next post I will write about what exercises I do using just my own body (no equipment), focusing on keeping shape not so much the gains. But for the biceps I haven’t got any good exercise that requires no equipment. I am usually in decent shape in my own opinion, but I never really exercise as much as I plan to.
