Just because you are a traveler doesn’t mean that you are always on a holiday. To be having two days off in a row is still a luxury. That is what I had. I took a hotel and spent the evening totally on my own. I was just writing. A lovely work to do on your time off. Sometimes I wish I wasn’t a writer. But it is like being a traveler, it is not really something you can choose. Then came a great morning for sleeping in and a great midday for going out to have sushi for lunch. I quickly googled around to see if there was any nice coffee shops in town where I could spend some time writing after lunch. I found Art House Café, which most probably is, for me the best coffee shop in Abu Dhabi. I was positively surprised when I got there. Such an inspiring place. Very nice atmosphere and great hospitality. Calm and quite with some carefully chosen music. The whole interior is covered with artistic decorations in a tasteful manner. Everything from creative solutions of light sources hanging from the ceiling to artwork such as painted canvases and plates. It is a living and colorful place but it is still not too cluttered. It could easily have become over cluttered when they decorated it in this way.
The place is pretty big and it have a few different sections like independent rooms with different interior that goes in the same style. They also have an art gallery with a several exhibition rooms split out on two floors. When I visited this place, there was a sign saying that the gallery were closed for changing of exhibition, but the doors were open so I went in and had a look. A couple of rooms still had the paintings up, so I took myself the freedom to have a moment to appreciate it. There was no one there to tell me off, but I was being quiet and respectful and just stayed for a couple of minutes. So I thought I could just be nice and write a little nice blog post about this place. I mean it is one of these good places you would come across when you are traveling, worth mentioning. I guess a lot of tourists would reach to this place. And for sure, some people have put a lot of creative work in to this café. And I would to 100% recommend you to go there if your ever visiting Abu Dhabi.
