Acrylic on canvas – Bird over lake

Acrylic on canvas – Bird over lake (wild and free). This is another painting which I made when I lived in Malmö, which is already years ago by now. However, back then I used to be painting quite a lot. Always with acrylic paint. I gave this one a name at the time, which I am not sure if I remember any more. But I remember that I wanted to depict something wild and free. Maybe that is what I called it. “Wild and free”. It is a lake in the woods with a bird flying over it. This painting I painted straight from my head with acrylic on canvas.

Acrylic or oil

Acrylic on canvas – Bird over lake was painted in acrylic. However, when I tried painting with oil paint for the first time earlier this year I realized how bad acrylic paint is to use. The colors doesn’t blend in at all with each other. It is like painting with plastic in comparison. The advantage with acrylic is that it dries fast. That might be the only advantage. I believe the outcome would have been a lot better if I’ve Done it with oil instead. Maybe it would be a good idea to repaint it with oil on top of this. Just paint the same picture over it again. Enhance it with oil. Or would it be a better idea to paint a new on?
