After painting the Marcel Proust – painting, I decided to try something more simpel and started look through my other book covers on the shelf without any luck. All images seemed too difficult to replicate with a pencil and paint. So then moving on to the film covers. This is where I found something which I thought I could paint. When I got to the cover of Scarface, I decided to give it a try. I just painted it in the same way as the cover was. The film cover comes in a couple of versions but I think this must be the original poster. I wish I didn’t fill in the red part though. It looked a lot better before that part was filled in. When it was still just black and white. That was the whole plan from the beginning anyway. I should have sticked to the plan. But I painted the red also and then put a frame on it and gave it to a friend of mine. It was him I watched that movie together with for the first time when we were younger. Now we both travel, and have done so for many years. Collecting memories from the world. From different ends. I haven’t seen him in years.
