Not that these kind of events is something that I normally attend or even attracts me. I just happened to end up here. But it is an experience and I guess it is a part of travelling to collect a variety of experiences. Anyways, I was at the Gran Prix in Abu Dhabi. The last formula 1 race of a series from around the world for the season. Louis Hamilton won the entire thing again, as he has been doing for some years now.
But most people who were there wasn’t only there for the race, of course. To be honest I believe that you would get more out of the race from watching it on TV since you can’t see much more than the cars schwooshing by with a loud noise when you are here. People were there for the party, the event and maybe hoping to see some of the rich and famous people that also attended. I think it is a lot of networking going on at these kind of events. Some people come here with their big yachts just to show off and throw a big party on the boat. The cars on the racing field are pretty loud, so if you are going to have a party on a yacht, you have to get some pretty good speakers. Because the yachts park right next to the racing field and it is just too loud. I was on a yacht parked right next to the racing field and I was lucky enough to have some speakers good enough to be louder than a bunch of formula 1 cars. I was trying them out with some good DJ equipment which I also definitely can recommend. You can find links to were you can get some of the DJ equipment just here below. Two of the Pioneer DJ Professional Multi Player, which you can play music from CDs or USB sticks or computer or any source really. Really good decks which most professional DJs get to use a lot. Between them there was a Pioneer DJM900NXS2 mixer with 4 channels. I only had the 2 decks connected to it but you can connect your laptop and and run it digitally through software with four channels or have mixed sources. 4 channels is good if you like to do mash-ups. But now I was just using two Chanels and playing one or two of my own tracks at the time. Which was satisfying enough.
There was also a power box, a lot of big power cables, a stack of 5 massive amplifiers and some other boxes which I don’t really know anything about. Quite important equipment but I am not that much into all the technical details. S I just don’t know. I was playing some of my own music which I made a few years ago. And it was freakin’ awesome! There was a massive party on the yacht for three days with hundreds of people coming and going (that’s why I didn’t post anything yesterday. Unfortunately (or fortunately) no one was allowed to use any phones, take any photos or do any filming during the party. A good rule for how it should be on good parties right? If there should be any rules at all, that is a good one. And it was getting pretty messy later during the party, so it was probably a good idea. Anyways. Feel free to check out this DJ stuff.
