The sand people are walking along the dock in their beards and dresses, looking like chiefs or thieves in the pale moon light. The sand they are walking on is also pale. Like the moon, who is also a thief. A thief that stole the light from the sun to reflect back on us in another pale manner. Just like any artist or writer would take someone ells’s work which they like, change it a little bit and makes it into his own. Just like I did right now. I travelled here by sea, but how I can do something creative here is yet to discover. The capital of the United Arab Emirates seems to be offering a variety of traditional culture and luxury lifestyle.

Having arrived in Abu Dhabi after 10 days at sea is feeling great and I must say that here they are not exactly like I had imagine. Completely different from Egypt where I arrived from, at least.

Here you see young girls walking around in high heels, waving their long dark hair, like anywhere ells in the world. Waring tops with thin strings over the shoulders and short skirts doesn’t seem to be more unusual here than anywhere ells. Only reason that I mention it is that I wasn’t expecting to see that in a strictly islamic country. I thought it would give a more conservative impression.

Wherever we go, the more time passes and the more the world gets connected. The more all places are influenced by each other. In the cities everything is internationalized world wide and we see all kinds of cultures everywhere. I was happily surprised by how modern this city seems to be. By now many places in Europe seems to be just as muslim as here. So it doesn’t really matter where we are anyway. There is always something for everyone anywhere.

The mannerism in Abu Dhabi is definitely giving a lot more sophisticated impression then what the one in Egypt did to me (also a muslim country). Most working people here seems to be from India (there is a lot of Indians… A lot!) And they all seem to be grateful for being here. They are all pretty articulate, quiet and well behaved here. Which everyone in India are not! They don’t stare quite as much here as most people in India do (I was in India 4 months one year ago). There is generally quite good class among people here in Abu Dhabi.

Electronics seems to be cheaper here then back home. I bought a new iPhone 11 the other day. So far so good, I am happy with it. I picked that one because of the good camera features (like that you can zoom out and capture the surrounding nearby with like a fish-eye effect) and also that it was available with 256 gb storage. I haven’t got a chance to make anything really cool with it yet. But if I do (like photography or filming or so), I will post about it on here. I’m sure it will come. I would definitely recommend the iPhone 11 anyway. But I think you can get an even better price on amazon. Let me just post a link to where you can get a good price. In case you’re thinking of getting one. Check out the links below. Hare are the different options depending on how much storage you would need. 64gb/128gb/256gb.
