Since I left Hong Kong I have had my computer on and she got a little bit grumpy on me for not letting her re-boot her in months. I was having iMovie on all the time because I was doing a tiny bit of video editing a little now and then over quite a long period of time. And I didn’t see any save button, so I wasn’t sure how to save the project (but the thing is that the project would always be there whenever you open iMovie. I didn’t dare to try just shutting it down). Don’t know why really because the work isn’t anything impressive anyway. It was just that I had shot some footage with my drone which I wanted to turn in to some kind of video. But I had no idea or plan on what to do with all this footage. It was just me flying around with my drone, playing and filming lots of random footage of the boat. Just having some fun really. I had no plan what so ever. So I had to find some parts of all this footage which I could do anything with, then cut that out and put it together in some order that I felt would make some kind of sense. Or at least in some sort of way which I would enjoy seeing (don’t think it needs to make any sense). I am still just so amused by drone footage in general, so I just want to feed on some footage of the same things from different angles and put some music on it. Kind of the way I did with all the footage of the buildings in Hong Kong as well. This time I’ve playing a little bit with the color schemes on the footage as well. I enjoyed that. But it was difficult to get it exactly as I wanted it. Not too much and not till little of the color adjustments. I don’t want to completely ruin it by tweaking it too much. But I want it to be shown that the colors are enhanced. I was trying to cut it all in together in a way that would fit with the music, but I didn’t really do a good job on that to begin with. So afterwards I started trying to make it better by cutting the music to fit into the video, as far as it got. So I had to try to be pretty patient and accurate in how to glue the music piece together without showing the cuts.

The video is showing some parts of Hong Kong which you at first wouldn’t believe actually is Hong Kong. There are some pretty nice nature in the area which might not be the first thing you associate with Hong Kong. Hong Kong is usually associated with just the city and all its tall buildings. Which also are amazing in my opinion. Hong Kong definitely has some beautiful sceneries to offer. Anyways, so this video has a little bit of the same style as my previous ones.

I use a MacBook Pro 13” with 256gb hard drive and touch bar for all this, whatever I do. I bought it when it just came out and it was very pricy. Now they are a little bit more affordable and I can definitely recommend you buying one, if you are in need. Here is a link to where you can get one for a good price through amazon.com

Below you can see the video I easily made with just the free/included video editing softwere iMovie.

The footage is shot with the DJI Mavic Air drone. Same as I used in the two earlier videos (posted below. I am so happy with it. It has all the features which most drones on the market has now. It films in great quality (4K), and it is so small and easy to carry with you. It is as big as my hand palm when it is folded together. I am linking to where you can buy that one also for a good price on amazon if you’re interested.
